Great work as usual - I really look forwards to these Friday shows. The pin striping in particular I find astounding. Here are a few of my recent drawings. I spent two days drawing Hill climb specials. Aero engines and cycle-car chassis sort of makes them hot rods. This one's a land speed record car from 1905 - 25 litre V8 (perhaps the first V8 ever)...

And of course I did another page of quick shapes...

There are lots more on the blog - don't want to fill the entire thread up. Hope you like them.

Just saw the hemi under glass clip - great stuff. I saw it when it came to Goodwood where it was a big hit with the crowds. It's just great that they had it doing wheelies in a parking lot.

Started with a 48 Ford window, welded web pattern with a Maltese Cross detail. Etched in the mirror is a 48 Ford Convertible. One of the pieces I've done for a local art show coming up in October.

Pablo, If your 8 year old daughter did the flowers, she has some serious talent. She will either be an interior designer or artist by the time she is 12 making good money. Nice work by both of you.

Keep it up - this stuff knocks my socks off - my next project is a "Speedster" - I've been collecting pictures of all the "Lines" that I would like to incorporate into the final design.
Your Art adds alot to the imagineering process

    Thanks

Church - That van illustration is tits!
Smarjoram - I really dig your style - loose and free with a lot of soul. Very cool stuff.
    Cool stuff everyone!

Here's a blast from the past...

I landed a gig with a local clothing company over a year ago to design three separate pinups for a line of Oxford dress shirts. His schtick is that he's selling art and not clothes. There is a small run of each design, individually signed and numbered and once they're gone, they are gone. They came out really nice and the quality of the shirts and printing is awesome, but I never posted them here before. One, I'm my own worst critic. And two, when it was all said and done, I felt the clothier wanted WAY too much money for the shirts. I know you guys are like me and would rather spend money on speed parts.
However, I just got an email from the dude the other day saying he's closing up shop and moving out west to San Francisco. Therefore, all of his stock is now half off and I figured now was as good a time as any to put my work up for the HAMB community.
If you did pick up a shirt, I'm sure I wouldn't see a dime of it, but knowing someone with the HAMB mentality was wearing one of my ladies would make me mighty proud. Enjoy.

I suppose a link would be helpful: http://www.local-ink.com/index.php/artists/sam-wood

Great work everyone. Wish Montana wasn't so far off the beaten path. Would really like to have some pinstripers on hand for my upcoming Art Show. Some performance Art so to speak. Should be a good low key show. Unfortunately, no money is involved and gas is expensive. Look forward to Friday's, makes my week.
