Attached are some pix of Conrad (Bearing Burner ) Halbergs Chassis Research dragster that ran at the Orange Airport back in the 60's. It ran in D/Dragster with the flathead either with the 3-2's or with Hillborn Fuel Injection.

The car was built by Conrad and Ed (Ridge Runner) Purinton and the three of us are trying to get it ready to take it to the Orange Drags Reunion in Orange,Ma. in Sept.

It'll be a static display because we're currently building a Lakester to go land speed racing and that is our number 1 priority but we thought it would be cool to drag the old girl out;clean it up and show what a dragster looked like back in the day.

While I was shooting the dragster,I took some pix of Conrads old Belly Tank he and Ed ran at B'ville in 1970 and 71 with the same flathead.

I'm sure both Conrad and Ed will chime in here to correct any mis-information I gave and to answer any questions.

Previous owners ran tank at Speedweek in '65 with #260.

Tank came to MA in '72 and taken to Speedweek that year with #365.

Have a few old photos of both the dragster and tank from back in the day. Will give them to Glenn to get posted as I dig them out. I'm more than just a bit 'puter challenged :D

Looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it to Orange, shapeing up to be a really good gathering.

I hope this works. Attached are some .pdf files with old pictures of the dragster and belly tank that Ed and Conrad took back in the day.

Again, they'll have to answer any questions you might have. I think that straw hat is the same one Conrad wears now.
    Enjoy !!!
