Nice pix... we appreciate you posting them.

Everyone worked so hard to make this deal happen....no figures yet but our crowd was up significantly from '09. Both food vendors ran out of food and had to scramble to restock. The Thresherman ran out of beer....TWICE on Sunday.

We had a great turnout of commercial vendors and our swap meet was full (we lost some space due to muddy conditions)...

    Thanks to everyone....

Here's the '33 Ford oval track modified formerly driven by Billy "The Cat" Johnson up against Paul Ziesdorf in his Mike Gish Fiat altered.

Where other than Symco would you see match racing on dirt?

Great venue, great show, great cars, and most important wonderful people. Volunteered selling t shirts, got to meet some people that way. We made the trip in my black 51 chev you have pictured above, and we loved every minute of it. see you next year.

Another great show - Cliffy deserves some major props - The rain that came in did not phase the volunteers, those in charge, or the attendees who showed up on Wed. and Thursday.

Cliffy stated that the good shows this year all had rain on the first day - so he took it as a good sign - and sure enough he was right.

The quality of the cars was really great I thought. Seems Jeff (main gate inspector) was wielding the giant stick to keep out the non qualifying cars with much authority and know that the people on the grounds were quite happy with what was "in" the show.

If there was any drama at the show........it was not shown. The show seemed to run like a well oiled machine and even though there were changes made to the layout, entry, camping area, etc. Everything was great and everyone had a great time.

Glad I was a sponsor of the show and hope that we can all keep on shaking it down in Symco!

Even in the rain, helping with the show on friday, I had a great time. Then saturday came, and I had an even better time. Mini-bikes were great as well as the bands. Thanks CLIFFY, KROOSER and anyone else :)

this just after a brief rain ( i think the only rain we got this year)

since we didnt get much rain, we decided to hit the river with some bottles of everclear and various fruit juices. ( my condolences to the people at the front of the river train, dont act like you didnt get peed on):)

This is probably the best photo from the show IMHO... simply incredible. Thanks to John Surgees for sending it to me. he's the fella who brought the three old Ford modifieds to the show.

Ya, great time again. Met some nice folks from Cedar Rapids, Iowa... (my relatives live there, they will remember that, if they see this thread). Can't remember names....too many beers by that time.

I know one thing for sure, I need to get a mini-bike!

  28. Did the meet and greet happen? The HAMB is kind of quiet with Shakedown feedback, is everyone still recovering? God knows I am!

  29. God knows I'm still recovering. Third shift last night was a real exercise in survival. I sure could use another one of those Symco showers with those four gals to make me feel better :) Any idea where they might have went?
