If the original can be saved, it will be. Failing that, maybe a 300/6. MPG isn't an issue as it won't be driven a lot.

Was a bit too windy today for any pyro with the plasma cutter, so I just did a bit of sanding & pulled the seat out...

Just an update to state that I haven't worked on it the past 2 or 3 weeks. My kid is off school as of today for 8 weeks & we're going to tear into it starting Monday :)

Got the big oilcan out of the hood... I just hit it with a VERY cold wet rag when it was about 117deg in the shade & it shrunk right back into place :)

Looking good! I noticed in the earlier photos there were little guard bars over the headlights, are they going back on?

Yup, they're sat in the garage all cleaned up awaiting paint. The entire grill/fenders etc are coming off to get all the dents taken care of. I just threw the lights on there today so it doesn't look quite so derelict from the street... had a city truck parked outside a couple of weeks back taking notes... :(

I'll be taking care of the fenders, one at a time, over weekends so they will be back in place by the time the city guys go to work on Mondays.... Once they are straight, I'll just rattlecan em temporarily until it gets ready to go to the paint shop.

I just love the big old stuff. Especially if it's military! Keep us posted.

That tank is drier than a popcorn fart, absolutely no gas fumes or residue at all.

Things have taken a turn for the worse. I have to find a home for this truck.
