I remember reading Hot Rod, Street Rod and Crash Club back in the late '50's or early '60's. Great books!

I read this book when I was back in school. It was in the school library. I looked for others by the author. It was a perfect read for a young motorhead. When I saw the name in this thread I knew right away who Henry G. Felsen is...sadly, ws(?). His words made a great impression on me for many reasons. I would be very pleased to receive a copy of the book. A PM follows.

I've never, after all these years, been able to pick up a shop rag in my garage without thinking, "Bud wiped his hands on a piece of waste."

Yes, that was the original title! Are they charging a pretty penny for it on Amazon? It is hard to come by these days.

Ordered 2 copies, one to read and one to put away for future generations. Wish they had done it in hardback though.

Look what I have had for many years now. :)

First read some of his books when I was a car nut in high school, loved them then still do.

Hey everybody, my name is Ben and this is my first post. I stumbled onto this site while I was looking for the author or a great book that I bought at a yard sale about 15 years ago. I was about ten years old and I remember looking through a box of all books and albums when a flashy cover caught my eyes. It was a nicely portrayed artwork of a red deuce convertible with a greaser styled guy working on his flathead V8 and his girl standing in the car waving at her friends driving by. The book was indeed Hot Rod. I remember reading the first page of the book and instantly being sucked into the story unlike any book I've ever read before. Unfortunately I was never able to finish it and somehow through the years the book was misplaced. Needless to say, I'm very glad to hear that a new edition of the book may be released. I didn't even know your father had written other books similar to Hot Rod and I really look forward to reading them all.
