Seems like, we see these legends every weekend, here in Socal, thinking they will be around forever, not so, unfortunately.
Next time you see Winfield, Barris, Jeffries, Bill Hines etc, talk to them, connect with history, and appreciate what they've done.
    RIP Watson.

Thank you Piero. And thank you for all the work you're doing to bring history to life....we don't always appreciate it until it's gone. Larry Watson forever.

I've met Gene Winfield last year at the '09 Syracuse Nats and visited his table this past weekend at the Nats but didnt really talk to him. now that you had said this i wish i had talked to him just to say hi.

Wow, don't know what to say.

    Heaven's sporting some new scallops.

  21. We'll miss you Larry!

My story has been that I'd see him at various car shows... but I really had a chance to get to know him at the "Doughnut Derelicts" cruises where he could spout off to the choir!!! Hahaha... he had stories that were enjoyable to listen to when I had time to stick around!

well said Chris, Gene Winfield was in Australia a couple of months ago and I was lucky enough to be part of this metal class work shop, 2 days of his tricks of his trade, old school talent and a gentleman.

    RIP Larry Watson

Larry Watson was a hero for a lot of us who don't do hero worship.

he helped bring color to a black and white world.

Shame, I never got to meet Mr. Watson. I wish I had. I've made it a goal of mine to meet the legends of the Kustom car world since purchasing my Merc. Hines, Alexander, Barris, Jeffries, Winfield,Erickson, I never made it to Mr. Watson.. Rest In Peace.
