Friday night you have to Run What you Brung drags. Saturday night you have The ultimate DOO-WOP show. There will be a lot going on, plus good eating joints.

I've listed a few things here in the Roll Call Thread

The basis of it I'll repost here
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thursday night 8pm-10pm is a free concert in Oakdale Park as part of the City of Salina's "That's Entertainment" series. The performers are a Johnny Cash Tribute called "Walkin' The Line"

Typically Bright Built Hot Rods has an open house Thursday night (map)

This year Calvin Customs will be doing one as well (map) on Friday Night after the drags.

Also Friday night after the drags and just a block from Calvin Customs, we've booked Pushrod to play at The Paramount Bar (map) "The P" is my buddy's bar and my favorite hangout.

If anyone is interested I can post a list of places to eat and such, just let me know.

Just remember, Salina might be the DUI capital of the world! You'll probably find us havin' a beer not far from our room at the Econolodge.

Hey hotrodwalt! I like that guitar! I have one just like it! ...mine might be a little more beat up though...

Since my band (Brian Lee Dunning and the Rock n Roll Trio) is playing at the Bombay Club (@ the host hotel) on Saturday night, maybe I can catch y'all Friday night!

...a long shot thought, it would be cool to get two white falcons on stage for a song or two:D. (I'm really not trying to impose myself, the thought is just cool.)

One of the pictures below is in a glorified taco stand parking lot. The other is at the 2010 Starbird car show in Wichita.

    See y'all there!!!

Some good places to eat in Salina for the KKOA

    • Cozy Inn - sells onion laden hamburgers by the sack. The tiny burgers are prepared on the same 86 year old grill used since the restaurant opened in 1922. A must if you are in Salina, your clothes will stink, but it's sooooooo worth it. Google Map to Cozy Inn
    • Santa Fe Phillies and Subs - I admit upfront that the owner Earl is a buddy of mine, but the food is darn good stuff. Google Map to Santa Fe Phillies
    • Daimaru Steakhouse - Your typical Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi joint. Google Map to Daimaru
    • Bogey's (yelp.com review page)- A fun lil burger joint that has great shakes and chili cheese fries with just the right amount of grease. Google Map to Bogey's
    • Scheme Pizza - good pizza and make sure you bring cash, they don't take plastic! Google Map to Scheme
    • There are a few more places that I like, Tucson's Steakhouse, Lenore's La Casita, Hickory Hut, Spangles (for good fast food that's not a major chain), Guiterrez; Most of which can be found listed and reviewed Here on Yelp
Hope that helps some of the out of towners! Feel free to ask if you have anything specific that you want to know about.

I completely forgot about Big Cheese Pizza! I love that joint!!!
