Great action shots... the car is beautifly finished. I love the shape of those cars.

Very close, the year was 1997, but a GM color, Pontiac.

    Thanks for all the compliments.

Deck lid is a piece of sheet metal ran through an English wheel, with the rest being fabbed up by Tim. No original parts in that lid.

That thing is just beautiful!!! An instant classic for sure.
I thought it looked great in primer but it's even better in blue.

Does anyone know if Tim's bringing the car to Grand Bend this weekend for the ONDR - Great Lakes Gassers race?

Very nice work. I am trying to figure why you pulled the roof off, did you redo the floors or something so that it was easier to get to with the roof off; was there big dents in the top of the roof so that it was better to take it off and turn it over?
This is such a great build perhaps you could do a bit of a tech article with more pics and captions, this is a real gasser - ain't like you nailed the 'look' - built by the guys that know how to build them and it is important to document builds like this.

    Thanks for the kind words.

The car ended up on it's roof early in it's life. The roof was swayed, and pretty beat up. If Tim did not have another roof, it could have been saved. It was just plain easier to replace the lid.

Maybe over the winter when we are not racing, Tim and I will go more in depth into the process.

    Weasel-
You are correct the wiper holes are in the wrong location. The 1942 coupe was a roll over victim and I put another roof (37-40) on the car. I also used two pairs of coupe doors to make one set, hence the round escutcheon's.
