Tim began this journey back in the winter of 1994, when he purchased a well used, but all steel 1942 Willys coupe. His original vision was to build a wicked street/strip gasser. As you will see in this little photo tour, his vision was clouded a time or two. Enjoy.....

Great paint job Steve. It looks great in pictures and I bet it looks 10 time better in person.

Wow:eek: That is one very nice willys. The color reminds me of barb hamilton's "ole blue"

Awesome. Everything a Willys gasser should be. Beautiful paint and lettering, and love those wheel standing launches. Except this time, keep it off the wall.;)

If I had to guess and would be curious if I'm right, Chrysler made a color in 97 that was called intense blue pearl metallic, code pb3. that is almost dead on that color ,we painted a 34 5 widow that color and it sure looks good !

    Them Willys is overrated....;)

Just a great car with period correct execution! Body appears to be a 1937-40 - not a '41/'42 which has a smaller windshield opening and cowl mounted as opposed to roof mounted wipers if I am not mistaken. Decklid looks like an early style 1937/38 type and doors are also the 1937-40 type with round escutcheon bosses - not the teardrop type bosses of the 1941/42.

Great work all round and the long journey was worth it - the result is outstanding.
