The grille looks great. Did you buy a shortened insert? How much did you take out of the grille shell?
Looks great, I am about to do the same on mine.

How about some detail shots on how you cut down the sides and mounted the shell?

    Thanks!

The insert is 2.5" shorter, the shell was chopped 2.5" and then notched on the sides to get it to ride height.

I have some other pictures I'll try to get up later.

Well it has been sometime since my last update and while there is not a ton of things to share there is still a lot of work going on......
Basically the past 2 months has consisted of getting the body/chassis tore back apart, for blasting, painting(frame), etc.
Heres a few pics of whats been going on:

    Last shot before the disassembly:

Body to frame mounts I made from(or shall I say welded together from some gussets/plates):

Gas tank (extended model t tank from the Hotrod Co.)

    Braille Battery and Mount:

Engine Painted: Ive since painted the heads/balancer, timing cover etc the same color, looks much better:

    Body Blasted:

I had to replace the roof panels over the doors, they dont make coupe repops so I go the ones for the tudor sedan. These are really well made, in Denmark I believe. Anyhow Paul(Dreddybear) has already done this and gave me a great diagram to follow on what modifications need to be done.(Almost made it easy for an amateur like myself) Here is my progress so far on them:

So....still have tons to do, Im working on getting the patch panels in this week and hopefully get the body in primer and start some body work. Painting all the suspension pieces this weekend. The frame outta be ready to roll again by mid next week.

Hey Nick Im glad Im subscribed to this build and seeing you put in things like the driveshaft loop.

With the bar under the dash where you have hung your breaks etc how have you got around sliding the cowl over it seeing how its a lot narrower at the bottom then the top? Or are you assembling the body piece by piece when its done?

I can just slide the cowl into place with the body sitting on the frame. I have to slightly lift the front of the body to do it. After its in paint I'm gonna have to find some creative ideas to slide it in without scratching something. I do plan to assembly the cowl top/panels/and firewall with bolts.

This is a nice build. I have one question though.Do you have enough clearance between the rear floor brace and the driveshaft? It might just be the picture or my bad eyes but it look's awfully close.

Nice build, Nick! As someone already mentioned, I love how the radius of the trunk lid follows the line of the rear tires. Are you planning on an elec. fan? And congrats on the young'n. :)

Thanks, for the kind words guys....I've had a little hiccup in the plans as I am awaiting the arrival of my little girl about a month early. She will be here this morning sometime, so the hotrod will be on hold for a little while.
