I have a 57 392 Hemi. I have a trans-dapt NC25 bell housing adapter. Where can I find some info on this adapter? I have done a google, no luck. If the adapter bolts to the engine, how does the starter bolt up? A starter mounting plate between the 2 parts? ANY info appreciated.

It's made to bolt to the stock aluminum starter mounting plate that the engine came with from the factory.

Did anything come of this thread? I have one of these that I want to use. I find myself in the same predicament, little to no info online.

I didn't use the trans-dapt. I ended up with a Wilcap. I did find out that to use the trans-dapt, you will need a stock starter mounting plate. They are listed on ebay every so often. I've seen them for sale in the classifieds here too. Good luck.

Most, if not all, of the old-time manual aftermarket bells used the fat 57-58 plate which retains the 57-58 12volt starter and also needs the 172 tooth flywheel. You should not have to pay more than $50 to have it on your door step.
