Gavin Where are you in China ? I was in Beijing for a couple weeks, and I saw one car that might have been from the 50's. I was in a taxi, and I couldnt ask the taxi driver what it was since I was getting places with written cards. Other than that...I didnt see many old ones. Are they around ?
Welcome Gavin. With all due respect, I hope the parts you get In China are better then the ones we get here From China.

Gavin welcomb to the board, ni hao, You could also check out the Jockey Journal. http://www.jockeyjournal.com/ they do motorcycles on thet forum. Just so you know they might be interested in some of the parts you could get. Maybe help out with your dream? I love the Chang Jiang (Chinese military motorcycle like the BMW's from WW2)
this is one of the sexiest customs I've seen in years. It's been floating around the intarwebs forever and I can't get enough of it.
Welcome Gavin. I have 2 daughters from China. I was last there in September. Very interesting country. Wonderful people. Just ignore Winged Avenger. Some of his posts make him seem like a tool.
Contact panhead pete here on the HAMB. He lives in China now working on a mine somewhere. He has seen some cool stuff up there, plus he's a guy with a tonne of contacts, and he's a top bloke...just give him a bottle of Wild Turkey and he'll tell you where all the cool cars are
From what Ive heard, the chinese dream car is a black buick of any type, thats why they will all be made there very soon.
Only the Buick Park Avenue in China was engineered at Holden. (it is built in Shanghai) It is a variation of the Holden Statesman. Currently, the only Buick imported into China is the Enclave which is made in Lansing, Michigan. All the other Buicks sold in China are also made in China, and are based on local engineering of a variety of GM's global platforms. Most in current production are only available in China. Some were introduced in China first, before being available elsewhere in the world. Prior to that they were all Chinese-only vehicles, re-engineered and produced in and for China since the reintroduction of Buick in China in about 1997. Vince Falter 中国 上海 July, 4, 2010
