NO DOORS or Decklid included @ 25 grand.

I understand it is real Henry stuff ... :)
But I would have to go with Brookville before paying 25 grand.

I hope whoever bought it ... has the $$$ and the talent to save it.
because I certainly do NOT ...
    :D :D

Makes the 32 3W that recently sold in PA for $19,500 look like a super deal ... :)

I don't plan on saving it. I just think it will make a nice planter in the backyard.

  4. KIRK,

A $25k planter.... Does that make you a gold thumb (gardener)

The seller was asking $25k, do you know that it SOLD for that amount?

Yeah, but I don't think it sold either. It was down the row from our space a bit, and I'd watch people look at it and walk away shaking their heads... Holy crap... I just looked at the pictures again and it says sold! I'm with you, it would be Brookville all the way for me.

I believe the days( or day, actually) of the 25 thousand dollar deuce bodys are behind us. I mean, I know of one or two that sold for that. Definitely not the rule. Its like the 2000 dollar grille shells....dont see those prices anymore.

Could it be going overseas somewhere? Seems like the LARS ends up with all the deep pockets from around the world.

This 3W was in the vendor area ... across from the LA Roadster T-shirt booth. I do not know if it really SOLD ... I am just going by what is on the sign ... and it says SOLD :D :D

I would like to see it saved ... and I know some folks have the time, talent and patience to do so. Just not me :(

Be nice, the fellow had to sell his cigarette boat to get into hotrods, he's already dropped it off at his builder, and will pick it up as soon as someone else has done all the work.:D

Based on prices that I've seen asked for some other crap, that seems like a bargain! ;)

No, I remember looking at the tag - the chassis wasn't included in the price. It, the doors, and deck lid could have been had for another 10,000.00. I think that it must have sold during the event, because it was down thew row from ElPolacko and I in the middle of the swap on Saturday. I see these pictures are by the entrance gate to the vendor area, but I don't remember it moving. When i saw it on Sat., I thought it odd that the tag said the chassis was by So-Cal and not in the swap with it. Big prices are great entertainment though...

  23. I saw that car and the price tag on Sunday. My girl was laughing and asked if anyone would really pay 25k for that rusty shitbucket. I explained to her that some rich peeps like to use hard drugs and sometimes go on a bender. That price is what could be called the "ripple effect" of the assholes from barret-jackoff.

Says body and original frame for 25k. Maybe someone paid 25 for that and the (10k) doors, decklid and wood kit? That makes it comparable to a Brookville.
Still Crazy money. (Everything costs more in LA.).
One things for sure; the asking price was high enough that the seller was damn sure that someone at 4:00 am wasn't going to buy it to flip for a profit later in the day.

Saw a '32 5-window sell locally a year ago for $7,500. It was pretty rough...a bit rougher than that one...no floors, subframe or firewall and most of it beat up. A large portion of the quarters were mangled. It had doors and a decklid though...mostly.

It had to of sold late on Sunday after the drawing, I looked at that car 5 times and I never saw the sold sign. In the swap meet there was a super nice 5w for 25K. That 5w was 10x better than that 3w. But if ya have to have a 3w.........................

Was there a five window out in the swap for an exorbitant amount - like 20,000 or so? maybe I'm getting confused. I do know that I saw the three window out in the swap on Sat though.
