Deuce dude, the old Bugatti you are referring to was born fenderless, actually might even be more than one model. Anyway, as long as its original they dont give a rats ass if its "illegal", as long as it was born that way.
This might explain to the guys that dont know how it is over here, the "brains" of people enforcing these laws.
Anyway, if you really want you find a way.
I'd drive w/ a shotgun under the seat if its the only way i tell ya!
As for motor swaps being illegal in germany i dunno? Here they are, but how do they know the motor have been swapped? Unless its pretty obvious (I4 versus V8) i see this as no problem.

Anyway: European Auto Regulations are BULLSHIT!

Oh, i just understand now its a Skoda!
So many props from my side for using european steel! You rule dude!
Now to all those european retards that think only american iron is good for rods and/or kustoms shut your shithole and praise!
Only thing is that sometimes these bodies are more expensive than US ones, and rarer as well.

I don't think too many Skodas run with a big block Ford V8 :)
This car's production number was around 3000 pieces. From '29 to '32.

I you could tell me your quarter mile time I would be very happy with that info!
I am very curious but my hot rod has only 200 km/ 147 mph in the engine yet.

Hi Coolcat, motor is basically stock, 9.5:1 compression 60 over gives 401ci, mild cam with a pair of heads that have had a fair amount work with a die grinder, this is all backed by a close ratio top loader and 3.00:1 9 open wheel 9".

re 1/4 mile et, car has never been down the strip, no roll bar, but on the other hand turbo charged subura impreza's struggle to keep up !!

    put a couple more pics.

I really admire your situation, keep up the good work

Hey Cat perhaps you can help by telling me what flywheel you used to to mate the 390 and M5R2 trans? Did you modify the M5R2 bellhousing to bolt to the 390 by adding tabs and drilling new mounting holes in the appropriate place? Thanks much,
