If it's a gennie you have one of the most rare '32's ever produced. What's the story..............gonna build it into a hot rod? Closer look at the picture makes me think it's already had the resto-rod treatment.................yes or no?

We are just doing a couple little things to it. Danny said it's one of 3 in Texas. Yes it is rare. I've never seen one in person or a picture of one. Only illustrations. It is rodded already.

There was a kid in San Jose that had one. He had a body shop remove the 'B' pillar and trim down the rear surround, the windshield frame was chopped 3 or 4". He ended up with a short tub, actually very nice. A few years later, I learned what a B400 was, and what he had done. I just shrugged, it had always looked good to me...full fendered and flattied.

i beleive a guy in arlington area streetrods had a couple of them back in the late 80s, he more than likely still has them. One was in street rodder mag, i think it was yellow , built by coddington if i remember right.

It's dark maroon with black fenders. Here's a couple more.

Wow, what a beautiful car. If I ever win the lottery, the B-400 is on my "to get" list, since a lottery is the only way I'll get one...lol. There was a body on eBay a week or so ago with a bare frame. It was already outa my price range and the reserve still hadn't been met. Nice cars. I'm lucky and happy enough with my deuce tudor. :)

Man, that is KILLER. Great execution of a resto-type hot rod, lots of attitude in that stance! Thanks for sharing-

  13. B400s have been unobtanium for 2-3 decades. I doubt any stories where someone does not know the rarity.

To even make this more interesting, the B400 was specific the 32, as we all know. They also made an A400 (31) and a C400 (33). Very rare as well.

Only 1142 of those rolled off the assembly line.

  19. Great looking car. I remember a few articles way back on them in various magazines.
Seen over rodded. Be cool to build a phantom of one.

My Buddy built a C-400 down in San Diego. It was a deep purple with gray top and int.

Didn't Boyd build Micheal Anthony a "C-400" years ago as well?

    That B-400 is a beauty!

There is a rumor that if it can be documented the Bonnie & Clyde B400 may surface soon, maybe even in Colorado?

Hey Gary I thought we could convince him to put one of your chassis under it... I think he is on the fence due to the historical value!!!!
