Just a reminder that Woodies on the Wharf (tm) Is this Saturday June 26 on the Santa Cruz Wharf. It is open to all woodies: Orig, Restored, Rodded are all fine with us. The show is free, though non-woodies have to pay regular parking fees, and if you arrive after about 10:00am you'll be parking and walking a ways to the event. Show starts as early as you care to get up (but officially at 8am) and is over at 4pm If you can't make the show proper, there are always a lot of cars to see Friday + Saturday evening at the H.Q. Hotel: The Ocean Pacific corner of Pacific & Washington St. See you there...
another note about parking... they have a bicycle valet parking so you can park in town somewhere and ride out to the wharf. all the bikes are in a little fenced area and safe from thieves. otherwise you might have to walk forever by the time you find a spot to park. be there or be square.
Just a warning......... the last time that I showed my Woodie out there they arrested me, so be careful
Not going to be able to make Santa Cruz... But we did take our "new" 1949 Ford Woodie to this years Doheny Beach Woodie Show. We had a great time. Here are some pics: http://www.taylorstreetrods.com/carshowsevents/dohenywoodyshow2010.html -Jeremy
Getting pics out of the camera and up on the 'net always hangs me up. I need a more effective process. I should get some up late today.
Sooooo . . . how was it? Wished I could have been there - I love woodies and will be starting on my first ground up soon! '22 T, kind of a show rod style but with a woodie body! I'm calling it a Shooting Brake 'cause I love that name for one of these old crates! Steve
