    Great start. My first ground up hot rod was a '29 coupe with a '47 flathead. Built it in 1960 and drove it the last two years of high school and the first two years of college. Share the build with us.

    What are you thinking for drive line and frame? are you going to channel it? and btw I'm jealous.

    I am going to channel it and build a front and rear zed frame.the car came from flrorida its been in storage for a long time. the body is super solid!

    Looks to me like its already been chopped at least 1 1/2 or 2 inches

    The special coupes or doctors coupe had the whole top covered
    including the back of the cab.

    Also looks like someone has worked the fender openings.

    You did real good, got some good metal to work with.

    The top has been already chopped 2 in and the wheel wells are untouched.

    If it were a Special it'd have the tack-strip holes down along the quarter windows as well. Check my profile album to see pics of my Special to see what I mean.

    Special coupe or not that's an awesome score. I just got my 31 roadster rolling, and it is worth every long night to get it going.
