Got the 53 Desoto grill basically done and ready to bolt in. Ok, so I did not get paint done, but got it scheduled for July.... BTW, this is a great event for a very worthwhile cause!
Despite the fact that the weather refused to cooperate, we had a damned good time. The Rainieros and The Shivering Denizens rocked the Blessing (with all the rain it was more like a baptism), and a good time was had by all. Thanks to all the other clubs that came out and braved the weather!!!
We were afraid it was going to be a washout about 1pm, when the skies opened up for an hour. The hardcore held on, hid under tarps, swilled beer, and the rain eventually abated. The bands were able to set up, and we got the grill going, so the whole gig came back to life! Hey, it isn't WA without a little rain.
