  4. There's vintage & then there's VINTAGE . . . ;) A couple from a box of glass plate negatives with St. Louis Air Meet 1910 on the lid. I'm pretty sure it's a Wright Flyer model "B".

This is quite a press photo which is captioned of Ruth Law in a thrilling race with Gaston Chevrolet in 1918. The plane vs. car race was held at a track in Montreal, Canada. This is a rare and exciting photo of the late Aviatrix.

  6. These pictures are fantastic, Makes me yearn for those times. It is amazing how much things can change without us noticeing, until we see these old photos. Thanks to all who posted them

It looks like they had it on fire before.

  9. Wow, that's cool. I can just imagine what skill the pilot had to fly that low, considering the primitive flight controls back then (impressive).
    Thanks for sharing.:)

[IMG]Definitely from the good old days. Indiana, late 1940's judging from the plate on the "modern" car. The oldie is a Packard twin six (second series).

yea , I am not so sure that women ever really wanted smoke blown in their face. It's just another Madison Ave. ploy.

Is this in L.A? I went to Bowl A Rama whilst in the States sometime ago, or were they a countrywide franchise?
