Don't be surprised if you see it on the left coast either late this year or early next year. I know he's already been contacted about bringing it to shows this year and next. Some of which the Weez will be At.

Damn. Wish I could think of something to say about this car that hasn't been said. There are no superlatives left to describe the stunning craftsmanship.

I'm going to have to strap myself into my chair and screw the chair to the floor for when the photos of the finished hot rod are posted.

  8. man o man...

I'd probably let him piss on my shoe in the hopes that I could get a bit of that talent...truly a remarkable build.

Appreciate all the pictures...can't wait to see it out in the daylight! And some left coast time would be appreciated by many, no doubt!

Such a bitchen truck. I can't wait to see it in person.

  11. Incredible... every last little detail about it

I don't think I really want to know what this little excercise in "what if we tried to build..." ended up costing though

    How does Priceless sound? :D

Looking forward to it's final roll out...

Beyond impressive... I'm still stuck on the polished engine block picture back on Page 10.... Super sweet job and plenty of good things to think about as I embark on my next car.

    Thanks!

OK Here's your daily update a day late. Didn't get home till 1.30 and was to tired to update. Got quite a bit done but still plenty to do . We got the bed on for the last time after 3 or 4 trial runs. Like I said before If it can go wrong it will. The headligts are on but not finished completely. Finally we were ready for the doors. It just takes more time than you think when you chase all the threads and clean out all the holes after the primer and paint process. Finally got the drivers door on and swingin. We called it a night and hopefully things will go smooth today. Thats right he's still going to leave thursday, I just didn't say what time. Hopefully one more update but it might be late. Enjoy the pics.

This car is just amazing. The level of craftsmanship is astounding, something for the youngsters in the hobby to aspire to achieve. Sadly (please no hitting below the belt) it also seems like a vehicle that will never be driven, never haul stuff, never have a stone chip or bug guts in the finish... in essence never to be seen outside the realms of car shows or museums. Perhaps it will also be enshirned in a 1:1 diorama that looks just like the painting?

I sure hope not. Tell me it isn't so. Gary

    wow! great build, great thread!!!

  20. I may have missed it, but what was used for the bed floor? Are they hollow composite or aluminum extrusions, or is that just an illusion?

  27. Here's the outside trim with the grill insert that he made on his lazer.

Here's the finished product with the 410 polished stainless bullets that all point straight forward. Because the grille has a V shape he had to machine each little bullet so they would point straight forward. Very time consuming. Not to shabby either.

I would love to know how he clamped the bullets to machine the bottom ??? Super vacuum bullet holding mill vise?...;)
