I remember reading about a Chinese truck factory in the very early days of the revolutionary government...they were making trucks with almost no resources or heavy machinery. There was a description of frame rails being formed by bending, using a line of as many people as could fit in the length of the frame using levers to bend up the flanges! Really interesting start-from-nothing tech curiously like hot rod building.

Based on WWII Internationals that were used in China through Lend-Lease. There is also a Dodge that was built specially for Chinese Lend-Lease that was later used as a a basis for post-war Chinese truck industry.

Welcome. I have a steel license plate from Albania that was taken off a Chinese truck like the older one pictured. Good to see what the truck was supposed to look like.
