    Hey Brian,

Santa Maria was the kick in the ass I need to get some work done. Finishing up the section on the doors and the suicide hinges. I want to make that Salinas run with you next year.

Is there a build thread on the HAMB of the chassis of this Zephyr? I did a search on one that I liked but never did see the end results ...................

I agree with kisam. No flowing lines? It defines flowing lines. Nice job.

  11. I can appreciate the work, but the finished product is not to my taste.

I do like the fact its another old car on the road tho.

wish I had the skills to build something like that............
ya'll may not like the way it looks - but I am not sure how many of you on here will ever build anything either.

I know I dont have the ability or tools.

So while we may not care for the look - at least there is another car on the road instead of sitting in someone's garage with the owner saying "I am gonna restore that thing some day......."

Wow, that looks even worse from the side than it did in the first picture.

Best car in this thread. Opinions are like assholes everyones got one butt unless yours smells good I don't give a shit. I love historic ugly duckling radical customs. Take the monkee mobile for example it's crazy I still can't say it is good looking or not but I love it. All zephyrs fit into the ugly catagory in my book so thumbs up from me. Just because it's different doesn't make it cool does that mean we should all junk our shit and buy toyotas. Maybe the topic car builders should have copied another zephyr that flowed to everyones liking that way we wouldn't have anything to bitch about. Happy H.A.M.B.ing.

That would be so cool. Let me know if you need anything. Is the car with you in Vallejo? I remember Sr kept calling you guys the "Vallejo Boys".

Dude gets an A plus for effort ! Maybe the creativity was monetarily driven ?
The side profile reminds me of a sleek dark candy apple metalflake cat in heat except with her tail down getting ready to be mounted ! Sorry just what came out ! The front top portion of the roof is 2 low for starters maybe you[he] could save it .Unless its your swan song ?
Its never too late for redemption !

I tend to like the Jimmy B version but wonder what the car would look like with a Carson top photoshopped on it.

Great color choice and one has to respect the workmanship that went into it.

Very cool. I didn't realize you were on the HAMB. It was nice meeting you both last weekend. Your Caddy rocked. I've got some good photos of it that I'll be sharing here in the next couple of days. I've got the Caddy on video too.

Please extend my hellos to Marie and let her know we have a Ladies of the HAMB social group if she is interested.

Ok the green zeph is pretty ugly but this is real nice.
I can appreciate the humor on the rear window sun roof but the other comment about this being a squashed VW are just wrong!
Looks like its flowin to me.

Edit: pic didnt show on quote, sorry! Uploadin ive seen the file name...Roger is this your Zeph?

  28. Well the profile shot did it for me....what a terrible waste of a Zephyr, not that I'm bitter or anything! I've just wanted a Zephyr coupe for years and seeing one turned into this sticks in my craw....

  29. Wow after reading thru this post some of you are real brutal. I saw it last week end at Santa Maria and at first thought it was a glass kit car but it is not. So my hat is off to the owner builder for darring to build there vison of a true kustom. The car appears to be a high quailty build with alot of time and money spent so the only person who has to like it is the Owner. Yes I do not love it and would have built one way different but that is what Kustoms are all about. Rick Erickson

James I missed meeting you again :(

The original five-window Zeff would have made a great hot-rod. Maybe a chop, and the rest just simple old school stuff. But that's me.
