great work and to each his own.
I love zephyrs but this one leaves me thinking with the thought of missed opportunity....it could have been done more Deco than Scrape....
...but as long as the owner likes it, who am i to judge.

The other green one looks great though...and the '37..love that car!!!!

I as may others ca really apreciate the work and talent that went into this car. But I would have done it different. I agree that it does not flow.

Hahaha! Like I said, my opinion is worthles... But is is MINE. I never said I was in the know, and as every build is done to the taste of the builder, nobody can be.
Sorry I don't have your taste .

Here is what I want to do to mine. Of course it is a lot easier with an x-acto knife and a crayon than it is in real life.

Rikster, do you have a diagram of how the chop you designed was executed?

Here is one that is being built up north in Michigan I believe. While the chop may be a little extreme for my tastes, they are doing some cool stuff to it.

Here are a couple of examples of what not to do to a Zephyr.

Cool, didn't know that. Nice job on the design! The chop is awesome, and Gary certainly did a great job making it happen.

It ain't perfect but it ain't terrible either. Life would be boring if all Zephyrs were customized the same way. He messed up some of the detail work but I don't sweat the flow so much since there evidently are already plenty of "properly flowing" custom Zephyrs. The world is big enough for one that marches to the beat of a different drummer. Plenty of period customs are way worse.

one observation, is that the "designer" went to great lengths to flatten the bottom of the car out. the stock car has a very subtle curvature to the whole underside, giving a very flowing look both bottom side and topside. Instead the super flat bottom makes the car look like a funky suction cup.

I have several projects lined up and in my possession, however, I usually don't talk much about them until I am actually working on them. ha ha

not one flowing line in it. not sure what it "rocked" but it definitely looks like one of those glass kit cars. Terrible proportions

that is one badass coupe ,rolling artwork

  22. It really shouldn't of been converted to a 3w they could of built it as a hardtop similar to the Holden Efigy. It really would of suited the club coupe's shorter deck.

  23. I'm not in love with it, but don't have to be. If the owner likes it, that is all that matters. If you overlay one of those so called ugly scrape cars in a side profile over this one, I don't see the similairity.

Christ, you all were just on here ejaculating over the Stewart-Street-Drake Ford that just went to Sweden. Are you going to tell me that car has better lines than this green Zef??

I always thought Scrape was pretty bad ass. You keyboard bad asses that think the green Zef is so bad.....Lets see the custom that YOU designed and BUILT.

hmmm... by calling us keyboard bad asses doesn't that make you a keyboard bad ass yourself?

that's an odd looking car. doesn't matter what any of us have built.

Zeps are like T buckets to me...

They are very hard car to work with.

Many buckets are rolling jukeboxes of bad taste and many Zeps are overdone...and they are an over the top car to start with with the length and so on.

When done right "look out," 'cause they rock.

The flip side it think about how many bad buckets and bad Zeps you have seen compared to ones that flip a switch.

The true challenge is getting one right...do than and you are a master.

Ian Rousell had a hand in that? Thats probably the coolest thing hes ever laid his hands on. I definitely see his influence, and it sucks. And yes the flow sucks too. I though pro-street wedge chops were for pro-street cars?

    Yes.
This green Zephyr looks like a plastic car that was put in an oven and melted into an incongruous, disproportionate lump.
