best color to hide not the best body work

want to look good 10 ft away at night!

Just about any light color...the lighter the better.

I'd say yellow

 

and make it a single stage paint

 

Is it just body work or are the panel gaps an issue as well? If they are white is not the choice. The lighter colors show the gaps worse. The darker colors show the imperfections in the body worse. I tend to go with something on the light side of medium. It seems to be the most forgiving all the way around. And lighter colors also show dirt real bad.

 

I say do more body work.

Gravel road usually means more dirt. If you go white it'll show...

White, with LOTS of orange peel! Better yet; primer......a 'work in progress' look.

Silver, and add a stripe or some flames where the bodywork is worst.

No One has suggested flat black??

White is a given, light Silver with low metallic content also works well. That shitty beige metallic that Toyota paints everything is very forgiving and can be dressed up. If you 2 tone the bottom and sides in Beige metallic with the top being a darker color the car can look very good and hide the flaws.

 

What, no one suggests a healthy layer of rubber rocker coat?

Could make for an interesting two tone with a tactile finish...!

 

Primer grey or White

 

Baby Blue.... my truck is stock arcadian blue... the body guy thought it was a straight truck...once he got an up close and paying attention look... shes got small dings... just couldnt see it.. works great... and its traditional lol. Im painting it back a medium/light blue and white.

 

There is money to be made with a bumper sticker!

 

my teacher in high school auto body told us this the first day we learned paint.
"white hides, black shows, red sells."

 

The only way to hide bad bodywork is keep it in the garage with a cover over it.

use the "hot rod flatz" . hides most everything & no waxing ! much better than primer . ........ steve

 

I agree with white,thats why I won't buy a white car without extensive investigation.But white actually shows less dirt than a dark color.I have had several white (factory painted) vehicles and the white can go longer without washing before it looks really bad. Anything without a heavy gloss. I have a glossy yellow and it won't hide bad panels. I also second the hot rod black flat.
