well the longer I'm out here by myself the crazier I get. My roadster pickup was buggin me for a couple years, whipped out the plasma and had the offending appendage off in two shakes of a dogs tail. I just drive it around like this now, I can breath, I can sleep, now what. thinkin somethin like the little green car, dont know who's it is

I like your idea, what about bringing the point of the boattail down further? I think that would make the fenders look less humongous:p

That green one looks terrible, the tail needs to come all the way out to the bumper.

  20. wow lay of the crack lol

  21. Look for a 40's Hudson or Chevy hood- they make an excellent boat tail!

  22. Just because you own a plasma cutter doesn't mean that you should use it.

nothing wrong with boattails...but the one you have pictured has a couple issues.

    * the tail is out of proportion and doesn't properly fill the rear section
    * the side area of the boattail pictured looks almost concave where i think it might have better proportions if it fattened out slightly

but that's just my view from across the keyboard.

this thread has some of the best examples you may find:

I agree. Just look at that hood, that is a pre-fabbed boat tail if I ever saw one. It's even got the flat side part nailed down.

If I ever build a boat tail body, it'll be based on that hood.
