Don't know- been to Garlits twice but do not recall that car.
Speaking of Garlits - here's 'ol Big heating 'em up. This is a snapshot, not one of the Chance Brockway pics.

Kibitzer 4 - This time it's white and it looks like different (shorter) injector stacks.

Believe it or not, this is the last shot of the Kibitzer! (I think it's my favorite, too). Again with different lettering, and it looks like a # after the name. Even though I don't know much about the car I find it interesting to spot the little changes in each picture.

Chance used to stand down in the ditch or on the little bridge to the tower and shoot alot, which puts the camera just above the height of the track also he got best sunlight location there.

It looks like he was just push started because I swear he is going towards the starting line in this shot.

Clark Rader on his tractor. As intently as he is looking, there must be a pretty girl over there.
    That's all for today, folks!

Great thread. Any pics of West Virginia T/F or AA/GD cars- Hundley & Boggs, Simpson & Thrift, Jim Minnick? Thanks

I always got a kick out of the idea that Eddie's Dodge was sponsered by a Mercury Dealer

I too have a soft spot for the inj gas rails of long ago. Many of them employed trannies of various makes. Seeing them wind up and launch hard was cool. In attending the Winternationals and the Div 7 points meets, seeing the comp elim rails were (to me) as entertaining as their blown nitro counter parts. Back in the late 60's to early 70's, there existed here in So-Cal a heads up circuit dubbed Jr Gas, basically a heads up class for B and C/Dragsters. No break out rules, just 8 fastest.

Did James Lowery Simpson drive the Simpson & Thrift car?
I am looking for a photo of that one too.

Well, I took a day off and never went near a computer. I am a far piece from posting all the pics I have scanned, I'm going to finish off the dragsters, then a few random shots and finally I'll get into some slightly O/T early Pro Stock, Funny Cars, etc.
Here's the "Moore & Kopp" dragster

Yes, yet another shot of the Kibitzer, launching nice and level, while the C/D in the near lane hangs 'em high.

Check the camera angle that makes the Jegs dragster look like it has more pipes than a church organ

Yes, Lowery Simpson was the driver of the Simpson & Thrift and Simpson & Moss T/F cars out of Charleston, WV. Here's a photo of the S&M car...

Don't see many full bodied, 6 cylinder diggers.

Very cool injected, Hemi digger with a T-bucketish body. And in the far lane it's, well, you know...
