  7. I had a great time seeing all the old gang from Detroit Dragway. I had to leave early because the heat and my meds don't mix. I watche don the live feed from Milan. I guess the show was a big hit and they are plannig on doing it again next year. I hope to be there again.

How cool it was to hear the questions being asked to Joe about what it was like all those years ago... Thanks again for putting the event on!

My photos and video are uploading to Photobucket right now. I'll get an adventure post going asap.

Now the whole internet world knows I'm a screamer.
It's been awhile since a guy made me scream like that while inside a car:D
Seriously, that was the ride of my life and I so appreciate you taking the time to take me on a run like that. Next time I get to take you for a ride in Big Olds.

    Sorry I missed meeting you

I thought for a minute a photo of Big Olds wasn't gonna make your coverage.:p

As long as he keeps his shirt on:rolleyes:

You're sosweet, thank you. It was wonderful meeting and hanging out with you as well. Travel safe and I'm looking forward to seeing the photos of your travels.

I know who you are now. Why didn't you tell me your screen name?

What a great time this event was. Anyone that missed it should try to make it for next years event. Also my mind was blown away when I met Mattbee. This 14 year old kid's mind is like a sponge. If you get a chance to meet him at an event, do your self a favor and don't miss out!!!! He'll blow you away with his knowage of early drag racing, and jet boats. Also it good to see Denise, and BIG OLDS.

A big thank you to all that came. It seems everyone had a great time and thought the event was one of the best they'd been to in years. A very special thanks to Steve " F-Troop" , he's a great parking lot attendant. (j/k) ....... without Steve's help , this may have not been possiable. ..... and yes, plans are taking place for next years event . It will be bigger and better .

Mustangman. You mention that your wife's brother was named Charles, and that Charles brother was Earl Orr, owner of Hodges Dodges. It caught my attention. My father was Earl Orr, of Hodges Dodges. He sold the dealership back to Chrysler in 1969, I think. I was 13.

He had no brother named Charles, having six sisters and no brothers at all. I have some vague memory he may have had an Uncle Charlie, and my older brothers could confirm this.

Please feel free to write, and straighten out the confusion. If you or your uncle have any memories of Hodges, or my father, I'd be very pleased to hear them!
