    Great start. There are lots of other 53-54 chops here if you need info, just do a search.

    No prob.. I Read almost every 54 chop thread until i was blue in the face before i made my first cut...And yeah i need a grille for sure...but im broke at the moment.thanks guys

    The big pieces are the funnest. It's the small stuff that will take it's toll on your drive. So with that in mind, have a plan to keep motivated.

    Like the others said, take your time and do it right. Measure twice or five times and cut about 2 times, then reposition and grind some.

    Yep!! My thoughts exactly.

    And one more inch lower in the back than the front. That will give it a cool sloper look.
     
  17. probably not a big thing, but I would air up that left front tire so the car is at least kinda square to the world.

    gonna keep the post straight dont really like the slanted look..its my first chop but ive been in a body shop for ten years so here i go..

    after taking a second look i also think it needs another inch or two out of the ass end also
     
  20. Slanted post is the easy way out. Straight pillars give it a factory custom look.

    Gonna cut the rear wrap around window frame down and move it forward. the cat walk will be lengthened a little bit gives it a coupe kinda look and does not look like a welded 4 door..

    im going to be chopping my 1954 210 as well.. id like some ideas with what to do with the rear glass without sinking it in the deck lid
