Event Coverage ~~~El Mirage 5-15,16-2010~~~PIC'S!!!!

It was a great drive,no traffic,good weather,seemed like it was gonna be a good weekend and a GREAT opening day!!!!
Ran into Billy,Hellmet,at the starting line and decided to set up "Camp HAMB" next to them. It was about 3/4 down the track. Not a bad location....



That's Tall Paul's father-n-law's Jalopy! It was a '40 Ford,with a flatty. They Hotrodded around in it all weekend.

 

JustplainJ showed up....don't know what he's doing there. Probably stealing the cookies my wife made,hahaha!

I didn't get alot of pic's but the ones I did get are good. I'm pretty beat,so I'll be posting them later on. Gonna take a nap....

Next year Bob....we are gonna get out rookie license. I am already researching the converson of the Gumby truck from street to LSR.

 

God the Calorie roadster just looks right at home on that broken dirt. Thanks fellers!

As always great pics. I am taking a few of your shot of my roadster for keepsakes. We had a great time hanging at the camp HAMB with everyone. I signed your HAMB El Mirage banner and everything.

I was going to let you drive my roadster if you wanted too but it was running like Sh#@ at the end of the day.

There were some great hot rods running and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful out there. I don't know if the little wind we had hampered the drivers but it made for a bit cooler day. You guys hit a perfect spot to watch each run and view all the cars as they returned to their pits.

 

It was great to see ya bob !! I shoulda stopped by for longer next time for sure ... we camped at the end and had a blast!! ...
