Hey does anyone happen to have any pics of the lil guy and me runnin around especially on the track in the black 55? Unfortunately the misses couldnt come and she is the photographer, thanks.

 

I just remembered I was there Friday night! HAHA. It is tough to top walking through the woods with a cold six pack and hanging out with some fine folks. Thanks everyone. Nice to meet you to Jen. Slim

I cruised up from Va. Fri. morn. with with VaHamb. 1Low52 and Eastcoast57. Being a Showdown Virgin I was not sure what to expect. Having attended a few of the BIG named meets over the years I'll have to say the Showdown is about the best and most fun I've ever attended. Thanks to Larry ,Kim and all of their great crew for their hard work because these things can really wear thin and be a pain in the ass. You guys did GREAT. Thanks!!!!

i just got back from the bluegrass festival,left early on sat at showdown,lets just say i had so much fun ,it took me 7 years to make the showdown & i will not miss another one see ya all soon !!

 

I think its all been said, Thanks Larry and gang.

 

I seriously think I'm going to cry that I missed this show. I was the best man in my friends wedding in Philly, and there was no way I was going to make it. Next year...

 

Nothing compares....
I don't really, TRULY care if I make any other show of the season, so long as I make this and the Showdown drags.
It's just that good....It's an adventure, for us, and a weekender, not just a few hours sitting around somewhere...
Interactive, festive, and long-playing...

If I make only these two shows a year...I'd be just fine with that.
Hamburger just don't have that same appeal once you've eaten steak...
I wish we were still at our campsite!

 

blk 210 before i left sat ,my buddies & i were watching the cars coming on to the track triyng to guess who was going to hang it out in the mud when isaw you & the lil guy come up i said the moonshine car looks like we have a good shot ,when you came off the track i said check out the smile on the kids face, my buddy said the kid just told the old man " your the coolest dad ever" priceless!! can we do it again?

 

I got some picture too but I think SLIM and the other HAMBers took care of that.

This show was AWAZING...got to meet the man himself and share a beer moment together.Gave him a mexican beer "MODELO", Scary Larry said"never had this one before so thanks pal"
Thank you Scary Larry and your entire crew for putting on one of the best shows on the East Coast.
I'll post a few pictures later on this thread to add to Slim and the other kats on the H.A.M.B.'s already amazing documentation of the show.

I was walking on the outskirts of the track on the far side when I saw your little guy in your car. Stopped me in my tracks cuz I wanted to watch his expression when you guys came around again. Simply priceless.

 

Whoosh. I've got some good dirt shots of you I'm working on. I'll get them up tomorrow. Not sure about the Drags, guess it depends on if that status changes in my sig.

I had a great time until the famous Pennsylvania roads (I-15) wiped out my radiator. Do you think the State will reimburse me the $425 for a new one?

I have been doing car shows since the '60's....this is the best show that I have ever been to! This was my first Jalopy Showdown and I will be back next year for two days. Thanks for posting all of the great photo's, you even got my gold '51 Ford. THANKS!
I will never do a parking lot show again after this

 

Saw that one, I was just a few seconds behind you, I was the '51 Ford that stopped, hope you got back ok. I hit the same bump but I have about four more inches of bounce space. Wonder how many others hit that one?
