History Fremont Drag Strip ... PICS from 1964!!!

Some of you may remember my "60's FED Photo [Bob Walters (Lansing Michigan) A/FD] ..." thread where I posted this pic:

In that thread, I mentioned that I had a bunch of 8x10 B&W glossies taken at the Fremont Drag Strip in the early '60s ... but (with the exception of the above photograph) all of the prints were badly damaged and/or deteriorated.

When searching through my father's photographic archives, I always keep a lookout for the original negatives for those damaged Fremont Drag Strip B&W prints ... I still haven't found the negatives ... but I recently came across several slides that my father shot at the Fremont Drag Strip (circa 1964).

Among these slides were five 2¼"x2¼" Kodak EKTACHROME transparencies with "JAN 64P" stamped on the cardboard slide mounts ... and a whole roll of 35mm Kodak KODACHROME transparencies with "MAR 64P" printed on the cardboard slide mounts.

The high resolution scans of these 46+ year old slides are simply amazing ... but that process is very time-consuming ... so I just did a "quick & dirty" scan of ALL of the slides (good or bad composition, in or out of focus, scratched, dusty, etc.) ... with little or no post-processing ... i.e., the majority of the scans are full-frame (un-cropped) with no color correction.

I thought about just adding these pics to @Royalshifter's "Drag cars in motion ..." thread .... or to @M.Edell 's "Fremont Dragstrip ... Pics!" thread ... but figured these images really deserved their own thread.
