    Well.... Good luck with that....

  5. Well, yes, I´d somehow managed to figure that part out already.
What kindof look are you hoping to achieve?

wow chop channel,is ok but narrowing a body is not:mad: talk about close minded!

  7. I haven´t said it´s not ok. There are times when it´s necessary, (post 36 bodied bobber trucks!) but I´m still not sure what sort of thing you are trying to do with your coupe, apart from make it thinner. Can you no longer look at it without thinking that it´s too wide?

  8. Probably because generally you chop or channel to make a car look better, not just for the sake of doing it, and none of us can picture narrowing the car in your avatar and not having it look like poop.

Didn't Posies do a '48 or so Fleetline and narrow it a bunch a few years back? Then put a Roush Ford six in it of some sort and run it fenderless? That might be a place to start looking for info.

I can tell you this much, it's a fuck of a hell of a lot of work, to weld seams the entire length of the car and get them right when it's done, figure on adding months if not years to your project before you can drive it.

Well, you've got the "Hokey Ass" part nailed down. :D

There is a really rad showrod bound El Camino being built a while back... I wonder what happened to it. Narrowed, chopped, sliced, diced, etc.

Just some advice (not like you asked for any) but when you ask a question you should be prepared for all kinds of answers. Some you may not like... happens to all of us.

I saw a VW bug that was narrowed once. single seater style with the wheels hanging out the fenders. people have done all sorts of odd things to bugs over the years, so I guess that makes it OK.

Look at the Scotty Baccus build. He should have pics in his profile. He cut his cab in 4 pieces including narrowing it quite a bit. He's got it tacked back together and it's looking really good.
