Billetproof Michigan 2010 - May 15, 2010

80+ degrees Friday and beauiful blue skies here in Metro Detroit. It was drive your hot rod to work day as everyone and their brother was out. Last night on the westside Telegraph Road was JUMPING. The 50's McDonalds was packed all night and the huge stripe mall parking lot just to the south of I94 and Telegraph had HUNDREDS of cars in it. I wore my BilletProof T and passed out postcards and Shaggy was passing out postcards as well.

Everyones talking about the new location and LOVING the grass and trees and are excited about the guest appearance of some AWESOME cars. It's funny how word spreads of the cool cars that are expected.

 

Are we allowed to bring in a cooler of "pops"?

 

yes indeed.

BTTT Weather is looking decent on saturday, let's hope it stays. I'll be there either way!

I'll be bringing my oldest for sure (3rd Billetproof) and if the weather IS good the wife said she'd come along with the little one, so that will be cool enough for me, Yipsi is where we met, back in the college days.

I hit Depot Town for the first time a few months back to do research on a project. The Hudson dealer is a must see....

Friggin raining like a bitch here in SE Michigan land. Keeps changing but they've held out Saturday for sun and 68. Just hope it isn't too mushy. Too many school/fair things going on in the morning so we may just come as spectators. Hate to not have Court's truck there but too early this year.

 

The weather is looking good. 68 and sunny for Saturday.

Going to get there early, Where is the best place to park ?

 

I will see you guys there, I am bringing the "Dirty Five Olds" with me. It's a bit of a drive from Troy but I will fill the oil and check the gas and head out.

 

if you are parking as spectator the best place is just the other side of Depot Town off Cross Street in the Frog Island Park parking lot. There is a cool walkway/bridge that crosses the river and brings you right to the show's front gate.

 

Woo Hoo I am heading that way from Philly area back to my old stomping grounds. Not driving anything KOOL though, nuts.

 

Just bought this original 1936 Club Cabriolet and it will be making its "debut" this weekend!

Hey guys, Were gonna be at BOTH shows!!! The super cool thing about Detroit, is that we all like cool car shows, and now we have 2 instead of just one! I can't wait for Billetproof, although I am sure I will be beat after the Throttle Gals party the night before in Hamtramck. And I love Springfield Oaks, and will be there to support that show too! I think most of us that can make it will.

There is room for both shows. My .02.
