Event Coverage ++PHOTOS: ACES C.C. Europe Chapter PARTY++

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Lowtech, May 5, 2010.

  1. A couple of days ago, the ACES C.C. Europe Chapter held their annual party at the Four Aces Hot Rod Shop in Ravensburg, Germany.

It was a sunny saturday afternoon when all of us 5 swiss members hit the road together... It took us about 3 hours to get there, including a cool short ferry trip. Once more I gotta say, road trips rule. Even short ones.

Gettin some gas in Switzerland, where the prices are low (compared to Germany... but not to the states)

On the road again. Mister HP flying by in his blown '28 roadster.

The open house was in full swing when we arrived.

This 1932 roadster was a fresh build. There was always a crowd gathering around it...

  2. great pictures.... Looks like a blast... Any more pics of the nash pickup? Who owns it?

  3. The Nash is owned by Marcel Moser, a swiss hot rod builder and classic car mechanic.

    That was a cool party.
It was a shame that we had to leave early that night.

Thanks for sharing! All are nice, but that Nash Pickup is really cool. Any details? What is it running for motorvation?

  13. The Nash used to be a 4 door. The pickup body was made from the sedan body, chopped and channeled. The bed is homemade. All of the work except for the paintjob was done by its builder and owner Marcel Moser. Engine is a straight six from a Triumph TR6, rear end is from a Chevy S10 truck.

Enjoyed the pictures, thanks for posting. Just out of curiosity, with our gas prices constantly inching upward, what price do you pay. (U.S. equivalent of course.)

  27. Thank you guys for the nice comments!

Thank you. I don't think that we'll come over for the mooneyes show, but there are some of our friends coming to Santa Maria.

No hot rod, at the moment, but Marcel also did this mild custom Buick

The current gas price in Switzerland is around 6$ for the gallon... if I calculated that correctly. In Germany it's even more, but I don't know the exact price.
