What no party at the hotel this year. It was becoming a tradition and I really wanted to do it again so we could use that wedding arch for Jimbo's mic stand. Oh and the pulpit for mine. That was funny as S

This year only see the fabulous world famous Daddyo on bass for the Pushrod. Danny is having a baby and can't come. Daddyo is really a handsome man.

 

I went to a wedding over the winter and when I saw the arch I thought of Jimbo. It was way too funny having him use it as a mic stand..... I thought that the highlight, when Jimbo was laying down playing the drums while you were playing a twenty minute guitar solo and you were out in the parking lot talking to Myers. Now that is kool.

Can Daddyo get the base in his Chop'd Chevy? I guess he can roll down the windows. Kongrats to Danny on the Baby thing.. Being a dad is very kool..

Any reason why it's on Mother's Day weekend this year? It's costing me more points to be there this year because of it!

 

you're supposed to have enough points in the bank to cover things such as this...

 

I was going to do a "builder of the year" like everyone else but I thought that it would be
kool to do something for the Mothers. My Kustom Moms love car shows.. We will be out
of town around 1:00 on Sunday, so we will be able to make it home in time.

Krap, I'm "Over drawn!"

 

I'm jonesin already got the 48 in purplish primer and trying to tie up some loose ends. we will be there either some time after lunch on fri or if I have to work we'll be there sometime that night or early sat morning.

I'm ready to see mikes 56 painted. It'll be a kustom debut haha..

 

Mike's 56 is looking real kool, Dustin (HvyChvy) did a good job and he did a lot of work
on the Chevy. The hood is my favorite part, it is kick ass kool....

I just wish I could see a better pic of it. the one mike showed me yesterday on his phone looked good but I couldn't make out alot on it. That car has needed this for along time and dustins been a pretty cool friend to do all that work on it for him.

In a possible state of drunkeness last night my buddy and I decided to give the Galaxie a little reworking in the paint booth this week... nothing like cutting it close! Going in to the sign company that he works at (and another good friend owns) tomorrow night to "borrow" the paint booth and their lead painter. They're even covering all of the costs in trade for some video production I did for their booth at a trade show. LIFE IS GOOD!

Hope I didn't just jinx the whole shebang!

Yup I jinxed it, painter can't do it this week....boooo, still bringing her down, 3 hour road trip to a cool show, I can't wait!

 

Ah, don't mind me - I just don't feel right if I'm not whining about something! The points are all worked out and I was able to cover the spread with no troubles.

 

I can't wait "Gravey over all!"

Yesterday I saw one of the New Kustoms that will be making its debute.. It is
a mid 50's Packard, Chopped, Candy'd up Purple with flames, Three year project
that is just plum krazy kool.

Kongrats goes out to the Baughman Brothers aka Gap Road Kustoms they made
their deadline.

When is pushrod playing? not at night this year? Last year was great using the podium as improv.

 

Julie Majors will start us off around 11:00 am & 8:00 pm at the hotel

Rumblejetts @ 1:30

Pushrods @ 3:30 pm on Saturday and 10:00 pm Saturday night. Since
we have limited seating, the night gig is for car participants only..

Yes!!!! Finally done with work and home.... 13 hours and I will be leaving...Making a couple of stops on the way. Can Not WAIT!!!!!!!!! First show of the year for me.

 

You will not regret going to the SK500...matter of fact, you'll prolly want to do the same next year so put in your vacation time now...!!!

ok, you guys have got me all jealous now. circumstances prevent me from leaving missouri this weekend. so enjoy one for me and i'll see you next year. or at wayland. or MoKan. or somewhere down the road.

 

I'm sad. We were almost going to get to come, even squeezed in a reservation at the Hampton the other day. But, the oldest has some school stuff that needs done and all bets are off. Ya'll have fun!
