Like you need an excuse to get out of the house Monday night and have a few pints with your favorite car buds, here is a little extra enticement!

This will be the first run, so bear with me but should be lots of fun...

No entry fees! No waivers to sign! No helmets required, but if you want to wear one by all means!

Sounds fun! Reminds me of the pinewood derby events my racing club had. Two classes: Stock (boy scout rules) and Modified. Modified had two rules: 1 lb. max weight and no artificial propulsion. Loads of fun and some crazy rigs!

This'll be my first HAMB event other than meeting a couple folks in the 2009 LSR minibike races. Looking forward to meeting y'all...

Tommy (still a FNG after 6 years) :)

I won't be racing, just acting as track operator.

maybe this could be a event to add to the lonestar round up in 2011 since Jobe you are already in Austin, is this a possibility if approved by the higher ups ? maybe something like a 128 car field of heads up drag racing

I'm down, fun for the kiddos too. I want to figure out how to make a trigger release with a christmas tree and timing...so it's more like drag racing. You pull the trigger and release the car...but you could redlight and be out!

that Hot Wheels dragstrip needs a loop-de-loop

  15. These are a BLAST
My bother-in-law has a couple of "Pinks" parties every year. Lose the race, lose your "ride".
His track has a Christmas tree and a red light - it even shows reaction time. I'll try find out where he bought it.

  16. I think this might be the source.

Our club is planning the same type of event for our annual BBQ in July. PINKS rules..."Lose the race, lose your ride"

I want to start it out pretty simple, see if there is interest. Then maybe run again in a month and raise the stakes or start a point system.

I'll be there, tearing orange plastic with my aqua metallic Deora...

If you need any track, I have a vintage '67 Super Charger Sprint Set in my closet. :)
