End of April, first of May 2010 http://www.pateswapmeet.com/ What are you bringing, or looking for, and where are ya coming from? (Yes I'm project shopping, this is the reason for the thread!) JMc
Bringing my '66 Studebaker Daytona for the car corral, a pair of '53-'55 Stude coupe doors, maybe some 5 on 5 15" nice slot mags, some tools. Coming from dry, rust-free Albuquerque, NM in search of a buyer who would like a nice, unique musclecar and am searching for a driver or project in the traditional hot rod vein - no rat rods. Also in search of a Taco or similar minibike. Fortunately my buddy lives a few miles from the event so I gotta place to stay, some cold brews, steaks on the barbie, and a garage to secure the car.
46-48 Chevy CAR doghouse-hood, fenders, bumper, inner fenders, radiator, EVERYTHING from the firewall to the front bumper.
I will be there.I have 32 stuff, brake stuff and carbs. Flathead stuff too. Might bring some springs, lights, spindles, wheels. I need to trim down but it is hard to let go! I might need it!!! Space 503, ave 8 Come by and hammers get a drink!
This is what I have: And this is what I want! (Thanks Gasser madness for letting me hijack one of your photos, and I hope Ivan's owner doen't mind either!)
The Pate Swap Meet starts every year on the last Thursday in April and runs through Sunday Afternoon.
I'll be driving all the way from Springtown. 30 miles. Bring lots of our insulation to sell and looking to take home some of this. Looking for a small vintage travel trailer.
I haven't missed it in 18 years. Unfortunately, I might not get to make it until Saturday. I usually hit it Thurs or Fri. I know a lot of people leave on Saturday, but is it a ghost town?
Can anyone tell me if its possible to camp overnight outside in the parking lot if your not a vendor? I've got some things come up and was thinking about doing late afternoon Friday and early Saturday. I got no prob staying in my car. Its just a long drive back and forth and wanting to maximize my time there.
Hell, For $5 parking, I'd do it...... Also there is a campground for $20 for all weekend close to the parking area.
{this 1959 Ford will be there ............................ "for sale" /anyone have any good extra spaces?
Just bought an old stash with tons of old Ford parts from 1910 to 1930's. A small sample: pickup bed, 'A' rear lid for coupe, starters/generators, headlights, carbs, 60hp alum. heads, old elec and vacuum fans for interior, sparton/claxon horns, '34 hood sides(nice), banjo steering wheels, gauges, very early tube radios, '32-'34 frontends, F-100 emblems, wire wheels, cases of model A champion spark plugs, '30-31 coupe glass, Ford tools and so much more I have not loaded or seen till Monday for the last load. Check it out @ ave. 7 & 8 spcs. 770-773. Thanks HAMB
Be there Saturday... looking for skinny slot mags, FE fenderwell headers, some pie crust slicks, among other misc drag parts. I'll probably come home empty handed, but it's worth the trip. Wish I would've planned better to sell some of my goodies.
Hey Ken, got a buddy here with a 52 v8 with a cracked block. Know where he can find a good one? I'll be between 10th and 11th spaces 1029 to 1032. See ya there.
Dying to find a 56 Chev 4 door - no love in New Braunfels this weekend. However, I did see a pretty cool bunch of bees stuck to a vendors space
Way to go Ken! Just got back from there. Was looking for your trailer. You should have no trouble selling that stuff. Especially if the body parts are in decent shape. Jill and I are heading to New Orleans for the weekend so we won't be back out there but hope you have great sucess out there!
