Features Falcons done right?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by guiseart, Nov 20, 2005.

  1. I just picked this up a few weeks ago.. a 100% original 65 Futura barn find out of North Texas. I am the 3rd owner and just starting to bring her back to life!

Just for the record - this car is absolutely BAD ASS! I saw it as a roller at Viva, blown nailhead and all. The workmanship on this car is top notch, and the setback on the engine (as well as the engine itself) makes this a hardcore ride.

    How's that spider bite healing?

Thanks for the praise! It's healing.....but its looking pretty gross. I hate spiders, ad now I will be spooked every time I put my welding gloves on. Brown Recluse spiders are no joke. I actually ran all my gloves through my sheet metal roller and put them in a plastic container. Then I let off 4 bug bomb foggers in the shop. I'm not into having this happen again.

Here's one I recently restored for my BIL. It's one of only 4602. He drove it to high school. Owned it for 40+ years.

'64 Sprint. Mostly stock 260/T-10 with a 3:25 rear gear. Sold her several years back to help my youngest Daughter through college. That little windsor was no powerhouse, but it sure sounded great through those dual glasspacks!:D

My guess is that since he's in Oz, it's an Oz head. I agree, too, it's a cool wagon.

I love the sound of that motor. In fact, it is now my windows startup wav file.

I have been saving a solid lifter SBF Ford factory Lamans Cam for almost 40 years waiting for the RIGHT car to put it in. I think I now need an early Falcon.

That Head is a Falcon 2v head made here in Australia by Ford and fitted to 250 Falcons in the early 70s.

Just checked the Youtube page and writeup.

Cool, it has a solid lifter cam AND a big shaft Toploader. I also have a close ratio Toploader out of a 64 Galaxy . Been saving it since 1976.<O:p

Man, I am STOKED, this is GONNA happen.

Here's a photo of the manifold - would prefer a tri-carb setup but this will do for the time being

I love the off-white engine compartment. Whenever it's time for an engine rebuild or swap, the same thing is gonna happen to mine.

This is my 1962 Ford Falcon.....

and this is my first car I build it was a 61 falcon with the frontend of a 63. If you have searched youtube for falcon videos you might have seen my video of this car I got into a wreck and the car was totaled I hit a telephone pole going about 50 I broke a steering rod. After the wreck I bought my 62 from a wrecking yard and build me a other falcon which is my 62.
