First I'd get rid of the motorcycle fishtails and fix the grille and get rid of that piece of angle iron hanging under it. Other than that it looks pretty cool. Nice score.

Oh and lose the electric fan and tidy up those plug wires and fuel lines.

Loose the ugly fishtail exhaust, put it out back like normal and replace the clear plastic fuel lines with something more durable then........

DRIVE THE SHIT OUT OF IT:D

Lose the fishtails, and paint the wheels and grille black, Red wheels remind me of rat rods.

    I love it.

I would ram horn it, kill the cycle pipes, full hood it, replace wear items --- then drive it.

  8. Congrats man!

Do what the others have said, just tidy it and go cat go!!

Same as everyone else- clean up the front end, loose the fishtails, do burnouts. Maybe a chrome grille..

i'd enjoy it the way it is for now....

  13. I actually don't mind the fishtales...is that weird?

I don't care for the generic lakes headers, the F-150 rims on the front or the electric fan.

And it does need some tidying it up and detailing.

But other than that, I'm jealous haha it's a wicked cool car!!

Got a lot of promise and not too bad at all as is really! Hmm, I know the pipes are goofy looking and kind of rat roddy, but I have to admit they don't bother me that much. I'd probably still get rid of them eventually and go more hot rod and less rat rod on that. But, yes, axe the electric fan and fix other details as others have noted. I agree, chrome grill would look sweet. How's the interior?

Personally, I'd love to have a '34 coupe like that myself.

  19. * tidy up - this incudes re-doing all of the fuel lines & mounting, similar with the wiring, the radiator support needs refinement/redoing, either cut the paint or redo same red (but without the tacky flames or names), re-do exhaust. Check/repair all brakes/steering components, don't take them for granted. Loose the 'gimmick' leave them for fitting to christmas tree's, less is more.

    * Full stock bonnet (adjuusted to suit the channel & repositioning of the radiator/grill)

    * Wheel combination - loose the 15's, 16" rims were the common mans 'flavour', with 4.75/16's up front, and 7.50/16's down back, blackwall. this combination on either 35 wires, or solids (painted gloss black;):)), and I think you will be suprised how these simple details will enhace what I believe is Henry's best body shape ever...look at JustPlainJ's build, classic example

Congrats, with some love that car can RoCk,

    Cheers,

    I've got two points:

    1. If your looking at the coupe from the point of view that it look's like it was a built a fair way back and it's got all the period stuff on it then yes, I think it's very cool and you could call it perfect. (BTW, Perfect in the world of Traditional Hot Rodding can be many things, including not perfect. This is because a Hot Rod is built by one person, for one reason-to fulfill this person's idea/dream. In the world of new cars, there is only one perfect because it's a business and you have to compete with state of the art technological advances and you have to please vehicle owners who have no idea which way to hold a wrench.)

    2. If your looking at it from my point of view, I do not think it's perfect. For example, the fish tail pipes. Not keen on them.

    My 2 cents Lars.

Enjoy the car for what it is, it's different and it's cool!

    That's what it's all about.

Your never going to be able to keep everyone happy..... unfortunately!:D

Another vote for lose the fishtails.

Rims need to be something other than red, same with the grille. Stance is wrong, needs more rake. Lower it 2" in the front, or maybe an 1" down in the front and 1" up in the rear. Put the top of the hood back on, louver the crap out of it, leave the sides off. And the same agreement with some re-routing and re-organizing.

    Awesome ride! :D

    Must agree!
And i think the cycle exhaust is kool! Not rat roddish by any means!
In the 1st pics it looks like the two pipes are slatcut...might be an idea if you really hate the fishtails, after all i see it as a sin to totally erase the look.
Ive seen that thing for many years and its a shame to totally lose it.
    just my 2 eurocents!

i don't mind the fishtails either. but i don't think i'd have them on MY car.

the rad support should be more elegant. then there are a ton of little details, like everyone else has mentioned. but the car sits really nice. and there's nothing quite like a '34 3 window...
