So the time has finally come...

My dad and I built this car together back in the early 80's and when I was old enough I drove it to HS and raced it every Wed & Saturday night I could.

Well after 25+ years it's time for a rebuild with my SON... We decided to make a gasser out of it.

Were not going to cut the body up, but I am going to put a sub frame up front.

Today was pretty COOL.. About half way into pulling the engine, my dad showed up in his GTO and helped out a bit. Pretty AWESOME to have three generations working on the same car..

    Let the build begin

You must be the only person on this board that doesn't love gassers.

  18. Always a good idea to subscribe to these threads...after a couple sweet little "A" builds, the '55 was deserving some love...

Awesome and it is great to see you, your dad and your son working together on it. That doesn't happen enough these days! Keep us posted. It looks like you have a great start on it. My brother has a '55 Belair that was set up as a Gasser look when he first bought the body, but he switched it back.

looking at this tire wheel combo

    FRONT
    15x4 AMR Troque Thrusts

    REAR
    8.20x15 Firestones on black steelies

Still working on tread for the fronts and also trying to figure out all the right BS for both F/R rims, at least I know what I want them to look like. LOL

Any advice here is appreciated... As mentioned, I'm not going to radius the quarters..
