I have a set of the Rockets and a set of the racing heads, the racing heads have a small crack, but the Rockets are perfect.--TV

I haven't seen any '49-'53 GranCor heads yet... I'll have to put up a pic of a friend of mine's set if I can.

A couple of scans from a 1953 Fenton catalog with a little info on the rarer cast iron heads.

Well it sure is pretty to look at anyways.

I'm suprised this flatty from the roundup hasn't made it here yet.

Not trying to hijack this thread but could use some info if available. I'm working with Bruce Lancaster modifying a spreadshhet a guy in Washington state put together in 2002 then revised it about 2 years later. Charts will show compression ratios for various heads for the 239 & 221 cu/in engines. I think I have much of the data for most of the 8BA type aftermarket heads but little info on the 59A & 221 engines. I need the cc volume of any heads you can give me as well as identification as to mfg, series? markings.

PM me if you can help any.

    Thanks,

    Jim

I have seen some Roof V8 60 intakes but I've never seen any of his dual plug heads. This is an original 1947 Roof catalog. The catalog is a work of art for 1947.

Thanks for posting Taylor. Those pics are from my Atlanta CL ad. Both LakesModified and myself have found Roamer heads. His are currently in use on his modified. I am looking for a mate for my head. I am from atlanta originally and know a few old time racers (shiners) up in the mountains, hopefully I can find another head...

Heres some better pisc of LakesMod's motor.

Here is a little more detailed view of the Norman Frick two piece heads.
The chambers on these are 78cc and were made for blower. I guess you could call these rare although for the right price Norm will carve you a set, but believe there are less than 24 of these around today...................all over the world.
