I still see a really cool custom in that car. You've done a great job with it but I just can't see the hot rod in it. Not bagging you at all. Each to his own. Glad it's running well for you.

I get that alot. I dunno. I guess that if you want a hotrod, you can damn near make anything a hotrod. How many cut up 4 banger S10s have you seen with straigt headers and no roof cause someone wanted a hotrod?

Its kinda my own style, and i dig it!

  5. seriously, how many cars do you see like this? theres truckloads of custom everythings but hot rods with a diffrence stand out and therye cool.
i like the number and scollops and glad to see you behind the wheel again.
you guys could start your own nash group, im sure plenty would join up.

  6. Man Great Job! That is the point "Hot Rodding!" Make it your own style! That car is incredible! You have got more skills than I could ever dream of! Seriously! I learned a lot from your build, and I hope you will keep building to your taste! Sweet!

very nice welding, your on the right path, rodding started with cars nobody wanted scrap parts gotten as cheaply as possible the quick removal allows more time where it counts, the results speak for themselves to take a unwanted auto and turn it into a desired rod that gets noticed because you saw something in it others did not a real hot rodder/customizer does'nt copy they create,if i was in charge of assigning the label you've proven your right to call yourself a true hot rodder, keep up the work it looks great, mike

well the 283 is toast. That would be motor number 3.

Finally got a decent mill. 69' 327 small journal, forged pistons .030 over, balenced, the whole bit

Spent the last weekend pulling an all nighter to get it in and running. Got it driving for one day, and lost my clutch master cylinder. BALLS!

Oh well, i got to enjoy one sunny day with it. The rain is back, and will be till june.

Well i installed a set of lakewood slapper bars on my coupe. Ill let you know that they work well! Eliminated all of the spring wrap, and plants the rear. I also lowered the rear a bit and got some different back tires.

You can see em just peekin out under the back

And heres the proof. Not powerbraked, just lettin her rip. Not bad for a peg-leg

The peg-leg is kinda lame, but its what i could find.

  13. I understand. It's better than no rear end!:D What kinda rear is in that thing. I think I have a 12 bolt posi sitting around I would let go cheap.

I have a Gm 7.5 10 bolt from an S10. How cheap are we talkin?

    Any idea of the width?

  15. not sure on the width. I paid 100 for it. It's actually only half mine. but since the car it belonged to is gone, I'm sure my buddy won't mind selling his half. usually they go for big bucks. You could have it for what I have in it.

Alrighty. If you could get me the backing plate to backing plate width, it would be awesome. As long as its close, im all over that!

Shoot me a call sometime, and we'll talk.

BTW, you coming out to the blessing of the rods? Its fathers day at Karkeek park in seattle.

  17. cool. I'll get those measurements. it is a 4-link style a-body rear so you might have to do some fitting. hopefully it's not to wide. I also have acess to some mopar 83/4 rears if those interest you more.

I'll see you at the blessing.

took a trip to the store and managed to rip both motor mounts free and crack both headers. Great oppurtunitiy to make new ones!

Cut apart 3 junk headers i had, and started welding. Made my own flanges too. 4 into 2s. The pics are the headers without the down pipe welded on. they exit at the fenderwell. Sound awesome (and LOUD) and perform well. Now im not ashamed to pop my hood :D
