I drive a newer vehicle and 85 Bronco 17,000 miles in less than a year. And it has rusty quarters and lots of patina.
My kids & I put together a '49 fleetline for them to drive, and it has been their school car for the last month & 1/2.
Until I destroyed two valve seats, I had been driving my '68 Impala Wagon every day (over 30,000 miles last year). Heads are done so it will be back on the road in a couple of weeks. It does drive nice with the O/T Tuned Port 350, overdrive tranny and ice cold a/c.
drive my 65 f-100 every day because its my only way to get around, i know they are every where but i still love it
Drove this every day for about 6 years, its been from one end of Australia to the other, both north to south and east to west. One trip frm Brisbane to Perth took 6 days driving 8 hours a day. Good relyable Ford power.
My daily for the last year was either my 55 Chev 1/2 ton or my bicycle, worked 1.8 miles from home. Previous 3 years 45 mi round trip was the 63 Corvair. New job, start tomorrow. Truckin' the toolbox in with the 55, but intend to drive my 64 camino daily. 427, manual trans, 12.0 1/4 mile daily. =) devin
My daily wagon, a '64 Merc. I got only one parking permit here in Amsterdam Holland so it's outside 365 a year....... <table border="0" width="1024" style="border: none; font-family: Myriad, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif;"><tr><td colspan="2" style="border: none;"><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" allowNetworking="all" src="http://w274.photobucket.com/flash/tagWidget.swf?mediaURL=aHR0cDovL2kyNzQucGhvdG9idWNrZXQuY29tL2FsYnVtcy9qajI2My9SZHRyZXVyL0lNR18wNDYwLmpwZw%3D%3D" width="1024" height="682"/></td></tr></table>
My daily is an old car but it's not a HAMB friendly old car. I drive my 56 Pontiac all over the place but bias plys are too damn expensive driving 50 miles every day to work.
my 63 chevy II. Every day. I had to tint the windows so the A/C can keep up in Dallas summer traffic. Looks like shit ... but, I am one cool dude.
That is a nice looking car. Does it have a 430? I'd love to drive something like that or a full size Olds year 'round, but the New York winters + road salt would dissolve it. I need to move to a more friendly car environment
I drive my 58 everywhere, for the past 2 years. Not really a choice since it's my only vehicle. At least till the dodge gets finished, then it will be decision time every morning.- dd
Thanks man, It does have a 430, I rebuilt it last November, car has 84,000 miles on it currently. Move down here and you can drive them year round!
-never lets me down... this is my only tagged car at the moment. the old lady stole the vw to go back to school.
I drive what ever I am working on at the time, just bought a 64 f100 shorty, 390 lowered etc...56 buick century in body shop, and a 1970 chevy c10.
For 13 years now, if I'm goin' somewhere it's in my Bel Air. When people ask if it's fast, I tell 'em.. "it runs stop signs real good"
