Remember the welder doesn't work without a ground Joel.

See kids, he used to be able to stand back and weld without a helmet, now he needs to get that close.

TomH is a pro at gas welding, really need to see it in person.

It's as "live" as it gets Bear... You'll see a lot of progress between today and tomorrow! I hope everyone out there in HAMBLAND is enjoying the chop so far... now comes the fun part... the rear window area!

They've cut the back up and got the back window in, now they are starting to weld some more of the cuts up.

    Joel, im honored:)
Im sure your car will turn out really nice, the chop looks good so far.
take the time to step back and watch....and take it outside to see how it flows...just make sure your pleased before you weld it together!!

It´s so cool to see the pics showing your car being chopped with all the other cool cars around:D

By the way, i was soo close to buying another shoebox last fall and the plan was to build what you are building now! at the time i still had all the leftovers from my car before i make the "Litton Clone" but i bought a 36 roadster instead....

Thanks for the comments! I'm glad you like it Andreas! Unfortunately, I won't be able to roll my car out to view it until some other cars get moved around, but I can go to the other side of the shop and get a good 40 foot view!

I'm really happy with how the chop has turned out so far... It will be fun to see what we get done tomorrow!

I am so bummed I couldn't make it home this weekend. Scheduling of the Hot Rod 101 got in the way. Looks good guys! I miss those club projects.

Thanks Don! I'm really excited how the window opening lines turned out, and the roofline to me looks to be on it's way...

    Thanks again Russco!

    Gracias!

    Thank You!
We'll see what we can do today! Even though I'm a young gun I got tired by about 7 last night... Kudos to RacerJohnson who took a small dinner break and worked until 10!
Thank you Mr. Eyeball! See you later!

No tradesies backsies... You can cut glass all you want; I'll consider it my birthday present! :D

Tell you what snowmann... How 'bout you just leave the window open on your computer and check back every hour or so? That way you can still get stuff done...

    Thanks!

Good morning Koolsville! Man, i could barely sleep last night! I was so damn thrilled with the progress yesterday! I can't wait to get working on it today.

I have to thank fellow Suedes Members Sko, Dallas, Eyeball, Tom, Todd, RacerJ, Aaron, Blaine, and Brian again for their help and Sixinarow, Ryan, and Rocket for their long-distance support! You guys are all awesome! Again, thanks to AntiBling for posting!

The next step is to make the filler panel between the rear window and the decklid. After that, we'll nail down the C pillar area. I'm hoping I can get a majority of the welding done today and start grinding...

I think we need to make a push to get this thing on the road this summer - primer, nail down the drivetrain and cruise. Incredible work guys.

I don't know Stefan- I'd like to get it driving but I don't think it'll be this summer... If time and finances allow I'd like to get it driving summer of 2011 and drive it to the pileup.
