Event Coverage Viva Las Vegas club road trip pix????

As always, The Defenders will be hitting the road from So Cal. What other clubs will be road tripping out? Have any pix of past roadtrips to Viva?

Here are a few of ours from our past journeys to Viva . . .



We usually hit the road about 4:30 AM. Last year, Gary and Bob had to work all night to get Gary's gasser ready for the road. Started off pretty bleary-eyed. That's why God made coffee.

MIDNITERS of FRESNO Ca.

 

First road trip for the T-bird, but we lost brakes on it near Rasier Road (pronounced "Racer" . . . ), which is in the middle of NOWHERE



We had to stop there anyway as - for some reason - they sell high octane race gas, and Gary needed it for his high-comp 301. He had all the places he could by gas marked on his map in advance, and had a bunch of gas cans in his trunk. Smart guy.

 

Food stop at a greasy spoon.


Don't attempt this stunt. All stunts preformed on a closed course by professional drivers.

Harold's '60. Harold has a perfect record of never making it to Vegas without breaking down, and his cars will rarely make it over the double-nickle when they are running. I took pity on him and sold him my camaro 5 speed for his El Camino, so this year he - hopefully - will be able to keep up. Go for it Harold!

 

Rachel's doing about 100 here . . .


This sedan has probably been to Viva at least six or seven times. Maybe more.

Thank God the HAMB came through for the boys in their time of need.

Hey Moldy, we're taking off Thursday afternoon. I think we may hook up with the boys from the Wheeltramps as well, as Brian says that is when they are going.

So you're taking Ophelia? Cool. Just go with everyone else on Thursday. That way you won't get eaten by coyotes if you break down in the middle of the desert.

here is the ride we took out there in 07 that my friend in the pic with his truck popped a tire going up the Cajon pass



and when the tire went it popped the headlight wring off and got ran over by 2 big rigs lol so i pinstriped it at the show



and coming home we spun a front wheel bearing 50 miles out of vegas only had 160 more to get home

 

Tried to call, been up to my ears, with the British show comin up this weekend and trying to get the Line up for the 10 annual Kustom Kulture Extravaganza sos i can do fliers ta pass out at Viva...

In fact, ya all should meet at my house seeing howz I'm the last stop before desolation off 138!

I think there was less then 100 cars there that year, hell I slept in Ophelia that year on the roof top... Fact I did that for several years till the show gawt out'a hand.

Yeah, the roof of the Gold Coast parking garage. It was so kick ass. Still fun, but not the same.

I do a caravan every year to the Primer Nats,and everybody says it the best part...JustplainJ and I are drivin out on Saturday morning,from Palm Springs...YES,I will be taking PLENTY of pic's...
