Thank you for the recent additions.. In a few months I'll be back on the road to camp.. hope to get a few more Maine shots to add.

  10. I remember his cars all over Florida in the 70s I believe parked in parking lots of business. I always wondered if it paid to advertise with as many as he had. I never looked close so I do not know how complete they were but it amazed me as a kid.

  11. really cool thread, I'd like to put one on top of my shop someday

Isnt bubble tops all they made in the way of hardtops in 61? They were special in 62 when they had both roof lines...

No pics but two locations near me. Knights Garage on Rt 125 `in Barrington, NH has a Crosley "wrecker" up on a pole with their garage name on it. Knights celebrated 100 years as a family business a few years ago.
And the Pink Cadillac Diner on Route 11 in Rochester, NH has a pink '59 Caddy as an "awning" over the front entrance.

If you take the main line in Queens, theirs a truck or auto body place with a '28-29 Model A truck on top.

  21. Cool signs guys. But does anyone have a pic of the u-haul truck (27 foot?) in Oklahoma City, Ok sitting on top of the pole spinning around?

I remember this truck during my visit to Key West a couple years ago. I took lots of pictures during my trip, but for some reason I never got a picture of the truck. Found one on the web.

When I was a kid in Milford, Ohio, the Milford Oil Company had a Crosley with sheet metal from the front seat back that made it look like a home heating-oil delivery truck. I have never learned whether that started as a coupe, pickup or what. Last I saw of it, it was sold on eBay, either to or by someone in Dayton, Ohio.

Here is an old Hayes in Gwynne Alberta (a tiny semi-ghost town that I snagged a 28 A roadster pick-up and a 50 Pontiac ambulance out of)

Took the pole out for the hell of it.
