Yes, I wanted it to look as stock as possible, but with late model :D power. I didn't think the old babbit pounder would hold up, so I went with a late model, full pressured 235. The color is as close to the original "Cape Maroon" as I could get mixed up. Thanks for the kudos!

Kind of a weird question - has anybody ever stuffed an RB MoPar big-block into one of these?

That would be blasphemous behavior and out & out sacrilege (IMO).

But I'm sure motor mounts & exhaust could be fab'd & work. But why??

I dunno, cool engine, cool truck. I figured it was a win/win. Kinda like the F2 wrecker with a Cadillac V8 and Hydramatic that was behind a shop in the town where I went to college.

OK Dave ...... I'm game ....... maybe a early HEMI / 4 or 5 speed - which I think I've seen earlier in this thread.

That would be cool, or an early GM overhead (pre-SBC). Of course, I have the RB MoPar. I dug it out of my father-in-law's motor home for free, without particular plans for it except that I knew it was worth having. As I look at it, I think "truck motor" and the AD Chevies appeal to me far more than the Dodge Pilothouse, or even the Ford F1.

If you really wanna get twisted, I've got a 360 Ford FE that I could tart up as an E-400 Edsel mill and dump in one!

I haven't got an AD Chevy or any kind of truck, yet, much as I need one. There's a Studebaker 1.5 ton on Craigslist near me for $750. Nobody'll care if I stuff an off-brand engine into that, right?

figured I'd throw this up there, now that I have spent hours looking at this thread... it was just a pile of parts and a cut apart and tacked together project when I got it, now its starting to look like something again. 2" chop, going for early 60's mild custom.

Maybe Danimal could hook you up with one of his spares.

As far as what you put into it, who cares, it is yours.
