I'm putting a Ducoil in a sbc and was wondering if anybody had the wiring diagram and or which ballast resistors to use and if any coils are any better then some to use. Is the firing order different on the cap since it's like two 4 cylinders? Thanks for any help.
I ran two stock ballast resistors and coils on mine firing order is of course the same, but wire placement is different there should be someone here running one on a Chevy that can help you here's a link to a previous thread; http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=223534
I just ran the stock resitors from salvage yard picking. Remeber ther firing order is the same but it alternates from side to side on the cap >>>>.
Done a few of these , you need the Bosch Blue coils that are 3-4 ohm and then you dont need a ballast. Got a few customers with that set up that have driven lots of miles. If ya cant find these coils i have them for sale $50 each and free shipping to hambers.
