thanks again for the encouragement...in between long sessions of grinding I needed something new to look at for a while. Ive started smoothing out the fenders. Skim coat and blocked. Should have all the welding and grinding done on the exterior this week.

the hamb rules! i got a pm from a previous owner of the car, who had it for some 25 years! he was stoked to see the car and lives locally.

He told me he had a set of steel skirts for the car. While I await those heres some paper skirts-. This is with some air left in the bags- not layed out yet-no tire:D

I am partial to leaving the roof alone and adding to the trunk area. I think the proportions look great.

Met up with a previous owner ("RUSTYTHUMB here on the hamb) yesterday he got a chance to see the progress of the car and he brought me a set of skirts- Thank you very much for the skirts and history of the car! I will test fit them and post up some pics this week

Thanks man, and thanks for the ideas.
Mocked up the skirts, they just need a little tweaking here and there.

That looks so good with the fender skirts on.

Now next time if you roll the car out... make sure you find somebody with a real camera and take some good photos... We really need to see some better photos of this great custom.

Thanks! Ok I got a real camera, no more cell phone pics. A previous owner of the car brought these pics of the car looks a little different now.

I want to add some drip rail back in, I think to the belt line would be a good look. And heres a better quality pic of the profile.

That side profile sure flows nicely! Good call adding in that drip rail piece, it's going to flow even better; chops like this always seem to look best with drip rails than when they're simply shaved off.

we brought the drip rail back down to the belt line. Helps keep the lines IMO.
