Sure hope that chassis didn't flex any, that would be a real pain in the a...
also, beware of any "bumps" in the track.

Holly cow, I've never seen that before. Who knew Schumacher had a Torino? I just got some pictures of Terry Ivey's Torino. Anyone know if this is the same one? How many Torino funnies were there?

    Wow Skywolf!

Thanks again for the exciting Willys photos!

My 40 Willys will pick'em up about a foot off the ground in first and second gear.

Damn! Wonder what the landing is like on one when you put on the back bumper!

    Thanks again!

  22. This Torino was originally Phil Bonner's,owned at this point by Dale Creasy.Al Marshall drove, and Schumacher really wasn't connected with the car, just used the name to fill in dates. This became the Tryant. There were four Torinos:This one,Terry Ivey's,the Coleman Super Ford and Jim Barillaro's "Cammer Jammer". Thanks Dennis. I knew you could fill us in. We inducted Terry into our Mo-Kan hall of fame a while back, he hangs out at the track from time to time. We are working on a history site for the 'Kan and other area tracks, just recently came across a bunch of photos of Ivey's Torino. Also have some photos of his cab over Ford ramp truck with one Maverick funny car on the back, and one on a trailer behind.

Did Ivey's Torino originaly belong to Ted DeTar?

The Coleman car sold last September for about $9,000...it was sold with a Keith Black "display only" engine

Yes, it has been here before...Red Case, raced largely in Northern California, according to Don Ewald, died not in this car but in a conventional slingshot, the throttle stuck at Vacaville, and he died after hitting a hay rake next to the track.
